Frequently Asked Questions
What is a fiduciary?
A fiduciary has the highest ethical obligation to put your interests ahead of their compensation and any other considerations. I am a fiduciary – this is a fundamental value of mine and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
What is your investment philosophy?
You should hire us if you want someone to provide peace of mind around your money and reduce the financial stress you feel in your life. We believe in order for a Financial Plan to be effective it needs to incorporate both personal and a portfolio factors (see diagram below). We will ask you very detailed questions to get to know you. Your goals, dreams, time horizon, expectations, risk appetite, beliefs, ethics, financial obligations and your past and current relationship with money. Will will marry this to an appropriate Asset Allocation and Diversification Strategy that incorporates current market conditions, tax efficiencies, underline valuations, technicals, protection of your capital, and risk/reward ratios.
DO I HAVE TO COME INTO YOUR OFFICE? Do you work with people FROM OTHER STATES?
You do not have to come to our offices and we work with clients all across the United States.
Many of my clients are busy professionals with family and other commitments. Some of our clients are in the middle of running a business, shooting a movie, producing a record, writing a book, etc.
We can and often meet virtually over Zoom, Google Hangouts, Skype, FaceTime, telephone, or whichever method of communication is convenient for you. We are set up this way so we can meet you wherever you are, regardless if you live locally or across the country. We can also meet at a time that is convenient for you. If you would like to meet outside of normal business hours, just send us a note at [email protected].

Your money is held at a custodian bank, which is insured by the SIPC for up to $500,000 per account type and are protected against losses resulting from the failure of a broker-dealer. Please note, unlike FDIC insurance for banks, SIPC does not protect against losses due to normal swings in the market. An explanatory brochure is available at http://www.sipc.org. WHO IS NOT A GOOD FIT FOR GCB PRIVATE WEALTH?
If you believe that you can "time the market", or want to "day trade", we probably are not a good fit for each other. We do not believe anyone knows the direction of the market on a daily short term basis. We believe in the principals of proper allocation, diversification and financial management. We are investing in your future and planning out a long term strategy that will help provide you with the best risk /reward possible to meet your specific needs and goals.
